Dice Together was born out of a simple annoyance: at exactly the moment you need a die, there's never one around. So we made one that's always within reach — right in your browser, on any device, no fuss.

What we make
The heart of Dice Together is the online dice roller: open the page and you're rolling right away, up to twelve dice at once. The dice tumble across the screen in real 3D, complete with the familiar sound of a rolling die. Every roll lands at random — just like the real thing — so you can use it for any game without a second thought.
That comes in handy at exactly those moments when you don't have a physical die within reach:
- Board games and party games where a die has gone missing or rolled under the couch.
- In the classroom, to demonstrate probability or as a fair way to pick someone.
- On the go, on your phone, without having to install anything.
- To demonstrate odds — for example, how often you roll a six on average.

How it works
We deliberately keep it simple and fair. The dice are rendered in 3D with WebGL, the standard technology for 3D graphics in the browser. That means everything runs smoothly on your phone, tablet, or computer without installing a thing — all you need is a modern browser.
Most importantly: every roll is random. The animation spins the die through many full rotations and lands it on a random face, so every number of pips has an equal chance. Want to know exactly how big those chances are? Read our guide to dice probability, with the odds per roll and per combination.
Good to know: the die has no memory. If you've just rolled three sixes, the odds of the next six are still exactly one in six — every roll stands entirely on its own.
The free Android app
For board game nights there's a bonus: the free Android app. It lets you roll the dice on your phone and see them appear big on your TV right away, streamed via Chromecast or on an Android TV. Everyone at the table watches the same roll — practical and fun.
Otherwise the app works just like the website: the same 3D dice, the same sound, no ads, and no account. You can download the app for free from the Google Play Store.

We care about privacy, so we keep things simple. You don't need an account, and we don't ask for personal data to make the dice roller work. We only measure anonymously and in aggregate how the site is used, so we can keep improving it. Exactly what we do — and what we don't — is in our privacy policy.
